The Park’s new Bat House is located in the Farm Field, and is the largest known bat house in the United States. Bats enter the house from underneath through three-quarter inch openings. The Bat House is able to hold half a million bats since bats only use one-fourth of an inch of space. Bats are nature’s insect controller. Bat t-shirts now available at the Country Store in three colors.

Step back in time and visit the Boatright Barn, located next to the Craft Village. The majority of the farm equipment and implements were donated by Thomas L. Boatright and members of his family. Played by throwing plastic discs into metal catching devices, aka "baskets". Like traditional golf, the goal is to navigate from the tee to the basket in as few throws as possible. The Magnolia Disc Golf Course is beautifully wooded and relaxing, located behind the country store. The store has discs, maps, and scorecards. For more information on disc golf at the SOSMP, contact our course pro, Denny Ritner at 407-810-2769 or Email.

The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is located on the beautiful Suwannee River for your fishing enjoyment. For a fee, our guests have use of the boat ramp located next to the canoe outpost. For more information call             386-364-4991      . Also located in the park is Rees Lake. This lake is catch & release, spring-fed, abundant with fish and equipped with a dock for your fishing pleasure.

GEOCACHING is one of the newest and fastest growing sports/activities in the world. Small containers containing a log and sometimes trading objects are hidden around the world (but never underground), and their coordinates (latitude and longitude) recorded and published on the internet at www.geocaching.com “Geocachers” use their GPS units to find the location of the cache, sign the log, and trade for an object in the cache if they’d like.
