Description

This popular upcountry state park rests on a high plateau among tall pines and hardwoods in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Among the park's 1,165 acres are two mountain lakes and a variety of recreational facilities for visitors to enjoy, including campgrounds, cabins, picnic areas and hiking trails. This park was developed in 1935 by the Civilian Conservation Corps. *The Barn Loop is closed from December 1 - March 15*

Alerts and Important Information

Arriving campers must have camping equipment and be prepared to set up. Only registered campers will be allowed in the park after park hours. The park gate is locked nightly. Contact park office for after-hours arrivals. Pets are not allowed in the cabins or the cabin areas. Please contact the park to reserve ADA (Disabled Access) Standard sites.

Twelve miles northwest of Walhalla off SC Hwy 28 onto SC Hwy 107. From Interstate 85: take Exit 1 to SC Hwy 11 toward Walhalla. From Hwy 11 take Hwy 28 into Walhalla. Travel through Walhalla and continue for approximately 10 miles. Turn right onto Hwy 107 and the park will be 2 miles on the right.
