Description
Hunting Island State park is a 5000 acre semi-tropical barrier island offering one of the longest public beaches in the lowcountry of South Carolina. Its 4 miles of beach, prisitine maritime forest, historic 1873 lighthouse, camping and cabin facilties makes this park one of South Carolina's largest and most visited properties.

Due to the current beach erosion and recent abnormally high tides, cabins 12 at Hunting Island State Park have become uninhabitable. Unfortunately, your current reservation(s) for this cabin will need to be cancelled. You will be issued a full refund, including transaction fees, as soon as possible. Hunting Island State Park is open from daylight to dark.
Overnight guests must be registered to a campsite or cabin.
Certain areas of the park are use-restricted.
Playground Equipment - yes, for campers only!
Kayaking. The park does not have rental equipment.

Hunting Island State Park is located on the most southern end of US Hwy 21. From Interstate 95, take exit 33 to US Hwy 17 N for 9 miles. Turn right onto US Hwy 21 and travel for 32 miles. US Hwy 21 ends on Hunting Island.
