Shenango Recreation Area Campground

Camping Reservations

Description

Shenango Recreation Area Campground is situated within the broad, flat, meandering valleys of Shenango River and Pymatuning Creek.

The lake provides an attractive setting for visitors who may choose to spend their day picnicking, camping, boating, or enjoying nature's beauty. Many fishing enthusiasts are attracted to the waters for the bass, walleye, muskellunge, and a variety of panfish that inhabit the lake. Deer, turkey, and other small game are also plentiful, and there are excellent opportunities to observe osprey and eagles in the area.

Shenango Recreation Area is approximately 7 miles northeast of Sharon, PA, and about 21 miles east of Youngstown, Ohio. Local attractions include Kidds Mill covered bridge, the remnants of the Erie Extension Canal, and the Great Blue Heron Sanctuary.
