Alerts and Important Information
Detroit Lake State Park will be part of a tree thinning operation this fall.
The thinning is part of the US Forest Service natural resource management plan for the area. Approximately 30% of the trees in the campground will be carefully removed for the health of the forest. This project will not affect reservations.
The park closes for the season October 1, 2008 and opens March 1, 2009.
Spring 2009 reservations begin in April.
For more information, please contact the Oregon State Parks Information Center at 1-800-551-6949.
Boat slips at Detroit Lake will be closed to reservations during August and September due to unpredictable water levels. They will be available on a first-come, first serve basis at the park.
