Camping Reservations

Description

Recreation enthusiast and sportsman enjoy the scenic beauty of 1500 miles of shoreline of Fort Peck Lake. Downstream Campground offers 86 campsites- 73 with electrical hookups-and 12 tent sites. The campground offers showers, restrooms, picnic areas, playgrounds and a nature trail. Group and individual reservations are available. Interpretive Center and Museum. Displays include wildlife dioramas, aquariums, dinosaur fossils and Fort Peck Dam construction history: 1. Fort Peck Interpretive Center and Museum 2. Powerhouse Tours and Museum (open daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day)

Alerts and Important Information


Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance.
The campground is open seasonally beginning at the end of April and closing the third week of October.
Attendants are on duty from mid-May through the first week in September.
Prices for the 50 amp electric sites is $18 per night and for the 30 amp electric sites is $16 per night. Tent camping sites are $10 per night. Group sites are $164.
This campground has first-come, first-served sites. Reservations are taken for mid-May through early September. Sites are available on a first-come, first served basis outside the reservation season.

From Nashua, MT, on Hwy 117 south for 9 miles past Park Grove, then approximately 2 miles straight to the campground. From Glasgow, MT, on Hwy 24 south for 18 miles to Fort Peck Dam. Follow Hwy 117 northeast and right at intersection to campground. From Interstate 94, Glendive/Circle exit, Mt Hwy 200 west to Mt Hwy 24 north 59 Miles follow Downstream Campground signs.
