Description
Located in scenic eastern Kansas with rolling hills, mixed grasslands, croplands and forestlands, Wolf Creek Park Campground has great appeal to family campers, sportsman and water sport enthusiasts. The reservoir covers 4000 acres at normal multi-purpose pool and offers some excellent fishing and water sports opportunities. Wolf Creek Park Campground offers 87 campsites with electric and water hookups available. Other amenities include a shower building, large playground, ball field, trailer dump station, nearby reservable picnic shelters and group camps, nearby boat launching and marina facilities, and numerous bank-fishing areas.

Alerts and Important Information
Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance. 2 night minimum on weekends. 3 night minimum on holidays. The campground is open from 5/1 to 9/30 and campsite rental ranges from $12-$16/night. A large 23 site group camp is located within the park. Large day-use picnic shelters are also available for reservation and are located close to the park. The Project Information/Visitor Center is located a short distance from this park and contains displays about the lake and the environment. This park is patrolled by Corps of Engineers rangers and the local sheriff's department during the recreation season. Beginning April 1, 2007 the Corps of Engineers at the Pomona Lake will no longer allow group campers to set up and camp in the Wolf Creek Group Camp before their reservation begins. Campers are welcome to come to the park early, but will have to make arrangements to camp on a site in another area of the park.

From US 75 and K-268 junction proceed E on K 268 for 7 mi to Pomona Dam Road, turn N and proceed 2.5 mi across the Dam. After crossing the Dam turn W on Wolf Creek Pkwy and remain on this road for 1.2 mi to the park entrance.
