Description
Overlook Park is located on the north end of Clinton Dam. This small day-use area offers 2 group picnic shelters, a handicapped accessible playground, softball field, horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, comfort station (handicapped accessible), and pit toilet. Potable water is available at each of the shelters. A windbreak shelter near the overlook site offers a spectacular view of the main body of Clinton Lake. The trailhead for the North Shore Trail is located near the parking lot for shelter #2. This combination mountain bike/hiking trail provides a quality 11-mile one-way tour.

This picnic shelter (either shelter #1 or shelter #2) are located in the Overlook Park at Clinton Lake near Lawrence, Kansas.
Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance. The group picnic shelters are available year round, but only reservable April 1-Sept 30. Prices for shelter reservations are $35/day and the park is open 9am-10pm. No parking on the grass. Pets must remain on a leash less than 6 feet in length. Vehicles must remain on roadways and paved parking areas.
