Description
Hillsboro Cove Campground is located on Marion Reservoir just north of U.S. Highway 56 between the communities of Marion and Hillsboro. Thousands of visitors annually come to enjoy the scenic beauty of Cottonwood Point with its easy shoreline access to the water and the abundance of shade around the campsites. Popular activities include camping, boating, fishing and hunting. A special treat for wildlife observers is the Willow Walk Nature Trail located at Cottonwood Point. While staying in the campground, you may see white-tailed deer, pelicans, raccoons, and various other waterfowl. Anglers have bright opportunities as channel catfish, walleye, white bass and wipers are the most popular catches of the day.
The nearby communities of Hillsboro and Marion also offer many opportunities for visitors to the area. Marion holds an annual two day festival in June to celebrate the history of Marion. Hillsboro and Marion have a nationally recognized Art and Crafts show every third Saturday in September. There are many other shopping and dining choices in the surrounding towns as well as a welcoming small town feel.
The campground offers 51 individual sites, one group camping shelter. These campsites include tables, grills, sun shelters, and electrical hookups. Many amenities are available to campers such as showers, RV dump stations, playgrounds, and beaches.

MAXIMUM CAMPING UNITS PER CAMPSITE: One wheeled camping unit and two tents, or three tents only.
Reservation must be made at least 3 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 night minimum stay on weekends. This campground requires a 3 night minimum stay on holidays.
No firearms, fireworks, or unregistered vehicles allowed, including ATV's and golf carts.
All pets must be leashed or caged.
Boat Dock at Cottonwood is not handicap accessible.
This campground has first-come, first-served sites.
