Description

Damsite Park is situated on the upstream side of John Redmond Dam and Reservoir. It offers three group campgrounds, sand swimming beach, two playgrounds, shower house with flushing toilets, trailer sanitary dump station, and boat launching ramps. A total of 32 campsites with water and electric hook-ups, picnic tables with individual shelters, fire ring and cooker are provided. Easy access to the 9400 surface-acre lake is easily obtained from this park. Two trailheads for the 16-mile Hickory Creek Hiking/Equestrian Trail are located in the park.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance.
This campground requires a 2 day minimum stay on weekends.

The campground is open year round, with services available during the peak season, April 1-October 31.

A group picnic shelter is available for use 6am-10pm daily.

From Burlington, KS: Travel 3.5 miles north on US 75, then 0.3 miles west on 16th St. Rd. to Embankment Rd. Follow the signs to the park entrance.
