Description

On the eastern edge of Kansas' Flinthills Region, Coeur d'Alene Park is on Melvern Lake. It draws outdoor enthusiasts from a wide range of disciplines. Melvern Lake covers approximately 7,000 acres of water and 18,000 acres of land open for public use. Coeur d'Alene Park offers 60 camp sites (33 with electric hook-ups, and 1 handicapped site with 50 amp electric, water and sewer), two reservable group picnic shelters, a boat ramp, marina, swimming beach, overlook, and numerous individual picnic sites. Other amenities include a shower building, sanitary dump station, several vault toilets, several waterborne restrooms, a courtesy dock with fish cleaning station, two nature trails, and three playgrounds.

Alerts and Important Information

* Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 night minimum stay on weekends.* The park is open year round. Facilities are available May 1 to September 30 and a park attendant is on duty. Tent and recreational vehicle visitors are welcome on all sites.
