Description

Located in scenic eastern Kansas with rolling hills, mixed grasslands, croplands and forestlands, Carbolyn Park Campground has great appeal to family campers, sportsman and water sport enthusiasts. The reservoir covers 4000 acres at normal multi-purpose pool and offers some excellent fishing and water sports opportunities. Carbolyn Park Campground offers 32 campsites with electric and water hookups located along Dragoon Creek. Other amenities include a shower building, large playground, trailer dump station, picnic shelter and boat launching facilities and numerous bank-fishing areas. Wildlife and numerous species of birds can be observed at this secluded, heavily shaded campground. This park is patrolled by the local sheriff's department and Corps of Engineers rangers during the recreation season.

Alerts and Important Information

The campground is open from 5/1 to 9/30 and campsite rent ranges from $12-$16/night. The Project Information/Visitor Center is located a short distance from this park and contains displays about the lake and the environment.

Located 25 mi S of Topeka on US 75. The park entrance is located 4.5 mi N of Lyndon, KS on US 75 on the east side of the road. Follow entrance signs.
