Description
Howell Station Campground is located on Lake Red Rock, Iowa's largest lake. Just 10 minutes from Pella, known for its Dutch heritage and 15 minutes from Knoxville, Sprintcar Capital of the World. The campground offers 143 campsites, shoreline fishing, and campground programs at the amphitheater on weekends Memorial Day through Labor Day. There is access to a paved 13 mile hiking/biking trail. White Pelicans migrate through the lake area every spring and fall, large numbers of bald eagles are observed during winter months (Nov-early Mar). The campground is an hour's drive to Des Moines, which has shopping malls, museums, zoo and many other attractions. Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance. This is Howell Station Campground on Lake Red Rock. Is this the campground you are requesting? Please register for the campsite during booth hours 9am-11am & 3pm-10pm. There is room for only 1 camping unit (1 trailer & 1 tent or 2 tents) and 8 people per site.
All sites are 50 Amp.
