Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. Summit View Campground is a 19 single-family site campground located 8 miles east of US Hwy 30. Situated in a forest setting, this campground can host RV's tents and trailers of varying sizes. There are 3 Group Use Sites as well, with capacities of 25 and 50 persons respectively. Summit View campground is located in the Great Western Trail corridor, with excellent trail opportunities close by. During the fall berry season, huckleberries abound in the campground. The campground is 17 acres in size, with an amphitheater and excellent scenery.

US Highway 30 is the closest paved access to Summit View Campground. Situated between Soda Springs and Montpelier, Idaho is the little community of Georgetown. Near the middle of Georgetown is the intersection of Hwy 30 and County Road 102. Turn east on Road 102 also signed Georgetown Canyon. After 2 miles, at the intersection of RD. 102 and 095, turn left on 095. The sign indicates the Left Fork of Georgetown Canyon. Five miles from this intersection, is Summit View Campground. Although graveled, Road 095 is maintained for passenger vehicles.
