Description
Located in central Idaho, approximately eight miles west of Stanley, Idaho, near Elk Creek. Campground is located in an alpine mountain environment with average summer temperatures of 78 degrees high, and 40 degrees low. Restrooms are provided. Popular events include an Arts and Crafts Fair in July, Salmon Festival, Quilt Fair (along with the Fireman's Ball & Wagon Days).

Elk Creek Campground is approximately 122 miles northeast of Boise, Idaho, off State Highway 21. On State 21, turn north at mile post 123, approximately 8 miles west of Stanley onto Forest Road 892. Elk Creek Campground is adjacent to State Highway 21.
