Description

This rustic cabin is located in a narrow mountain valley next to a large stream. Mountains are heavily forested and steep. Summers are warm. Maximum number of people on site is limited to 6. The cabin sleeps 6 people with 1 double bed, 3 single beds and a couch.

Facilities provided include beds (1 double and 3 single), a couch, table and chairs, propane cook range, outdoor toilet, and wood stove. Popular activities include stream fishing, hiking, big game hunting, and scenery viewing. Bring your own bedding, utensils, light, toilet paper, ice and water.
Camping is not allowed at this site. The cabin is located north of the towns Crouch and Garden Valley. Boiling Springs Campground is less than a mile from the cabin. The Middle Fork Payette River flows next to the cabin. Lowman, Idaho, is east of Crouch/Garden Valley and Boise, Idaho, is south of Crouch/Garden Valley.

This cabin is available to rent from middle of May to middle of February from October 15 through February. Winter access is over snow. There are no plowed roads. The cabin is best accessed by snowmobiles from the snowmobile parking lot at the end of the plowing on Forest road 698, just north of Tie Creek Campground. The area provides many miles of groomed snowmobile trails. Winter snows are heavy and temperatures are cold. Cabin is equipped with wood stove and wood for winter rental. Would be wise to bring an axe to split wood No refunds for bad weather. Limited parking. Campers should bring firewood and water. Camp Host is located east of the Garden Valley Ranger Station at Hot Springs during the summer months. Camping is not allowed at this site. Please do not use tents, motorhomes or RVs at the cabin. Livestock such as saddle, pack, or draft animals are not allowed at this site. Potable water is not available.

Alerts and Important Information

  • Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance.
  • Renter must obtain the combination to cabin gate and door from ReserveAmerica prior to arrival at the cabin. The padlock combination will be on your confirmation letter, however, the combination may change without notice. It is your responsibility to call 4 days prior to your arrival to confirm the security combination.     You are responsible for the removal of your own trash from the cabin. Neither the concessionaire nor the Forest Service is responsible for personal items left at the cabin. Be sure you take everything out that you brought in.
  • Access may be difficult in fall and late winter depending upon changes in weather. Check local conditions for access to the cabin in fall and spring.
  • There are no road access to the cabin in winter, all access is over snow. Distance to the cabin from parking is approximately 11 miles.
  • No refunds for bad weather. Limited parking.
  • Campers should bring firewood and water.
  • Camping is not allowed at this site.

Located 24 miles north of Crouch on the Middle Fork Road (Forest Road 698). Boiling Springs Cabin is 7 miles north of Trail Creek Campground on Forest Road 698, just past Boiling Springs Campground. Alternate Route: Take Road 698 from Crouch to Trail Creek Campground (17 miles). Turn right on Road 671 to Silver Creek Plunge. Turn left at Road 678 ( 19 miles). Drive on Road 678 for 7 miles to the cabin. Total miles from Crouch to cabin is 38 miles.
