Description

This campground is located 11 miles from Featherville, Idaho. The campground is situated among majestic ponderosa pine trees, with the Boise River nearby. Restrooms are provided. The hot spring pool is drained and closed from dusk to dawn daily. Alcohol, glass, and soap/shampoo are prohibited in the pool area Swimsuits required in the pool.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. This is Baumgartner Campground on the FAIRFIELD Ranger District. There are no electricity/water/sewer site hookups at this campground. No livestock. All equipment must fit on site pad. Vehicles park in designated trails only. No live music or sound systems. Additional parking is remote. Only licensed and insured OHV's are permitted to operate on paved roads. Baumgartner Campground is a three hour or longer drive from Redfish, Alturas, and Stanley Lakes in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. No refunds for bad weather. The Idaho Trail Machine Association State Motorcycle Ride is being held in Kelley Creek Flats adjacent to Baumgartner Campground from July 15 to July 19th, 2009. Please be advised that use will be up within the campground and surrounding areas.

Take I-84 to exit 95. Go east on State Highway 20 to mile marker 127-1/2. Turn north and follow signs to Featherville. In Featherville, head east on Forest Route 227 for 11 miles on dirt road. At Baumgartner Campground sign, turn right and cross bridge. Campground is located on the left.
