Description

West Point Lake extends 35 miles along the Chattahooche River, just north of West Point, Georgia. The lake has a shoreline of more than 500 miles. Surrounded by forests and fields on the Alabama-Georgia state line, West Point Lake provides excellent fishing and camping and many other recreational opportunities. The Whitetail Ridge Campground offers 58 sites with electric and water hookups. Additional amenities include a dump station, laundry facilities, hot showers, a boat ramp, and trails.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. 2 night minimum on weekends. 3 night minimum on holidays. All sites in park will be open for entire season. The campground is open March to November and sites are $22/night. Double sites are available for $44/night. Attendants are on duty. The gates to the campground will be locked every night from 10pm to 7am. During that time, gates will only be opened for emergencies.

Travel west on GA. Highway 109 from LaGrange, GA for approximately 7 miles. After crossing the first bridge across the lake, travel approximately 1 more mile, then turn left onto Thompson Road. After 1 mile, bear left and watch for the sign.
