Description

Payne Campground is located on Allatoona Lake in Georgia. Located only 30 miles from Atlanta, the lake offers a respite from the rush of city living. More than 13 million visitors each year enjoy picnicking, camping, hunting, fishing, swimming and other water sports, and observing the abundant wildlife along the shores of this beautiful lake. The Payne Campground offers 60 sites, 39 with electric and water hookups, 2 with sewer hookups. Additional amenities include a dump station, laundry facilities, hot showers, a boat ramp, and a swimming beach.

Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance.
2 night minimum on weekends.
3 night minimum on holidays.
The campground will open 7am on March 27th, 2009 and will close at 3pm on September 8th, 2009 and campsites are $16- $52/night.
Attendents are on duty.
The gate is locked at 10:30pm to 7am.
No ATV's or ORV's allowed.

This campground has first come, first serve sites. Campgrounds DO NOT make advance reservations for these sites. You may go to the campground or contact the Allatoona Lake Project Management Office at 678-721-6700 to check availability of first come, first served sites.

I-75 to Exit 277, go E on GA Hwy 92 approximately 1 mile to traffic light at Hunt Road; turn left on Hunt Road; Hunt Road turns into Kellogg Creek Road; travel on Kellogg Creek Road for approximately 2 miles. Entrance to Payne Campground is on the right.
