Description

McKinney Campground is located on Allatoona Lake in Georgia. Located only 30 miles from Atlanta, the lake offers a respite from the rush of city living. More than 13 million visitors each year enjoy picnicking, camping, hunting, fishing, swimming and other water sports, and observing the abundant wildlife along the shores of this beautiful lake. The McKinney Campground offers 150 sites with electric and water hookups. Additional amenities include a dump station, laundry facilities, hot showers, a boat ramp, and swimming beaches.

Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance.
2 night minimum on weekends.
3 night minimum on holidays.
The campground is open year round and campsites are $20-$26 per night.
Attendents are on duty.
During the period, April 1 thru September 30, gate locked at 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.
During the period October 1 thru March 31, gate locked at 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Sites 1 to 77 are seasonal and are closed from December 1st until March 1st.
No ATV's or ORV's allowed.

This campground has first come, first serve sites. Campground DOES NOT make advance reservations. You may go to the campground or contact the Allatoona Lake Project Management Office at 678-721-6700 to check availabiltiy of first-come, first-serve sites.

From I-75, take Exit 278, go East for 3 miles on Glade Road to the 2nd 4-way stop, turn left on King's Camp Road, go 1 mile to road fork and take a left. Follow signs into the campground.
