Description

Located approximately 29 miles north of Buena Vista, Colorado. Campground is situated in ponderosa pine and sage habitat, at an elevation of 9,200 feet. Facilities provided include restrooms, drinking water, picnic table, fire ring, and pedestal grill. Nature trails are nearby. One trailer or motorhome per site. Sites must look occupied, to avoid conflict with other campers (example: a parked car in spur). First come, first serve sites are available. Firewood is available for sale at the campground. No discharge of firearms or fireworks.

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 night minimum stay on weekends and a 3 night minimum stay on holiday weekends for family sites. An additional fee will be collected on-site for extra vehicles. This campground has first-come, first-served sites
REGARDLESS OF THE LENGTH OF THE PARKING SPUR, THERE MAY BE ONLY ONE RECREATIONAL VEHICLE PER SINGLE CAMP SITE. DOUBLE SITES MAY HAVE TWO RECREATIONAL VEHICLES. RECREATIONAL VEHICLES ARE TRAILERS, CLASS B MOTORHOMES, CLASS C MOTORHOMES, AND CLASS A MOTORHOMES. new quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

From Leadville, Colorado, travel 15 miles on Highway 24, turn right on Highway 82 and travel 4 miles to Lake County Road 24. Turn right on Lake County Road 24, travel 1 mile north to the Lakeview Campground.
