Campsites 46-54 will be closed for the 2009 season. This area is closed pending logging operations of dead trees that are standing and lying on the ground in the campsites causing unsafe conditions.
Many trees were cut down in 2008. The campground looks different but there are still trees left near each campsite. The Red Elephant/Seven Lakes Trail may be closed at times throughout the 2009 season to remove hazardous trees along the trail.
