Description
Located north of Jefferson, Colorado at an elevation of 9900 feet. This campground has no hookups, primitive camping only. Restrooms are vault toilets, and there is a water well. 2 miles from Jefferson Lake. Boating, fishing, and hiking available. Colorado Trail about one half mile away. A public phone is available at the Jefferson General Store. South Park Ranger District located in Fairplay, CO @ 719 836-2031.

Reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 night minimum stay on weekends. This campground requires a 3 night minimum stay on holiday weekends. No refunds for bad weather. Primitive camping - vault toilets, water well; no hook-ups. There is black bear activity here in the summer. A $5 vehicle fee is required of all vehicles at the entrance to Jefferson Lake Recreation Area. This is a one-time charge while camping. There is no public telephone at this campground.
