Sugar Pine Point SP, (11 miles south on State Highway 89), is suggested if more secluded campsites are desired. Alternate park phone number is 530-525-7982.

Alerts and Important Information

D.L. Bliss, Donner Memorial, Emerald Bay, and Tahoe SRA are OPEN during the winter for hiking and snowshoeing, but these parks are CLOSED to camping beginning mid-September (varies by park).

However, Sugar Pine Point is OPEN for camping on a first-come, first-served basis.

Discount Pass must be presented at the time of check in.

This park is site specific, you will select your site at the time you make your reservation.

WARNING: Metal bear resistant food lockers are provided in each campsite. All food, beverages, and toiletries are required by law to be stored in provided food lockers. The inside dimensions of the food lockers are 36" deep, 43" wide, and 22" high. Violators will be cited. Camp at your own risk! By choosing to enter or camp at Tahoe SRA you assume the risk of personal injury or property damaged caused by bears.

Fees include entry for 1 vehicle and 1 legally towed vehicle or trailer, additional vehicles will be charged per night at the park.

This park is above 6,200-ft elevation. Campsite availability is subject to unpredictable and adverse weather conditions including snow closures, which may result in cancelled reservations. Campers are strongly advised to bring appropriate clothing and camping gear for cold weather conditions.

  • Lakeside is the loop in this park.
    • 2009 Reservations 05/15/09 through 09/15/09.
