Saddleback Butte State Park was originally established in the Mojave Desert in 1960 to preserve its Joshua tree woodland. To the east of the forest rises 3,651-foot Saddleback Butte. A key attraction is the self- guided Joshu Trail. Wildlife includes Antelope Ground Squirrels and small birds known as red-shafted flickers.

This is Saddleback Butte State Park. Do not confuse with Joshua Tree National Monument!
The Joshua Tree Group Site is open and on reservations Year-Round!
- Fees include entry for 1 vehicle and 1 legally towed vehicle or trailer, additional vehicles will be charged per night at the park.
- To book a Group site you must have at least NINE occupants.
