McConnell State Recreation Area is on the banks of the Merced River. Fishing is popular for catfish, black bass and perch. There are over 70 acres of picnic, camping and play areas.

Discount Pass must be presented at the time of check in.
- Fees include entry for 1 vehicle and 1 legally towed vehicle or trailer, additional vehicles will be charged per night at the park.
- To book a Group site you must have at least NINE occupants.
- Group Sites and Family Sites: Available for reservations year round!
