D.L. Bliss State Park borders Emerald Bay State Park to the north. It features one of the finest beaches in the Lake Tahoe region. The park also has popular hiking trails, such asA the Lighthouse Trail and the Balancing Rock Nature Trail. The beach is especially popular during summer months.

Alerts and Important Information
D.L. Bliss, Donner Memorial, Emerald Bay, and Tahoe SRA are
OPEN during the winter for hiking and snowshoeing, but these parks are
CLOSED to camping beginning mid-September (varies by park).
However, Sugar Pine Point is OPEN for camping on a first-come, first-served basis.
Discount Pass must be presented at the time of check in.
Upper and Middle Pines Campground loops will be closed for the 2009 summer season for construction. Visitors camping in the Lower Pines area should be aware of the possibility of noisy equipment and heavy machinery operation in the area.
D.L. Bliss State Park is site specific, you select your site at the time you make your reservation.
WARNING!! Trailers/RVs must be 18 feet or less to reserve a site in this park. Any trailer/RV longer than 18 feet is not allowed at this park.
WARNING: Metal bear resistant food lockers are provided in each campsite. All food, beverages, and toiletries are required by law to be stored in provided food lockers. The inside dimensions of the food lockers are 36" deep, 43" wide, and 22" high. Violators will be cited. Camp at your own risk! By choosing to enter or camp at D.L. Bliss SP you assume the risk of personal injury or property damaged caused by bears.
- Fees include entry for 1 vehicle and 1 legally towed vehicle or trailer, additional vehicles will be charged per night at the park.
- 2009 Family site reservations 05/15/09 through 09/15/09.
- Group site reservations 6/15/09 through 9/13/09
- All sites closed when not on reservations.
This park is above 6,200-ft elevation. Campsite availability is subject to unpredictable and adverse weather conditions including snow closures, which may result in cancelled reservations. Campers are strongly advised to bring appropriate clothing and camping gear for cold weather conditions.

The park is located 17 miles south of Tahoe City on Highway 89, a couple of miles north of Emerald Bay.
