Season for Peak Fees: 05/15 to 09/15
Auburn State Recreation Area contains almost 42,000 acres, including 50 miles of river (much of it is whitewater) on the North and Middle forks of the American River, in the rugged American River Canyon. There are nearly 100 miles of hiking, mountain bike and horseback trails. Visitors can also enjoy picnicking, fishing, rafting, and primitive camping. Lake Clementine, one of the use areas within Auburn SRA, features great opportunities for boating, fishing and boat-in camping. The lake has a marina and launch area.

WARNING! THESE ARE BOAT-IN SITES ONLY!
- Boat-in sites
- Reservations 05/15 - 09/15 each year.
- 1st come / 1st served basis 09/16 - 09/30 each year.
- Closed to all camping 10/01 to 05/14 each year.
- Separate reservations are required for each boat.
- Access is from a very steep, narrow road. Trailers over 24' are not advised.
- All Campsites are primitive.
- Dogs are not allowed on boats, on or along the lake or in the campground at Lake Clementine.
- Reservation fees paid do not include $5.00 launch fee per motorized vessel. This fee must be paid upon arrival at the park.
- Due to the narrowness of the canyon, towed inflatables are not allowed on the lake.
- The camping fee includes entry for 1 vehicle and one legally towed vehicle or trailer. The park staff will collect any extra vehicle fees upon entry.
- To book a Group site you must have at least NINE occupants

Lake Clemetine is located at the end of Lake Clementine Road, six miles from Auburn via the Foresthill Road. The Auburn SRA park office is located on Highway 49, one mile south of Auburn.
