Description
Ellery Creek Campground is located on the upper McCloud arm of Shasta Lake, and is adjacent to the lake. Lakeside sites have excellent access to the water. Restrooms are provided. The nearest store is 21 miles away in Lakehead. There is abundant wildlife in the area.

Please respect wildlife. Where available, store food in food storage lockers, or be prepared to hang food from trees away from the bears. Poison oak is abundant throughout the forest.Reservations are available from May 16, 2008 to September 15, 2008. There are no showers available or electric/water hookups for trailers. All sites at this campground can accommodate small trailers as well as tents.
There are two sets of vault toilets and water spigots (potable water) throughout camp. Each site has lockers for food, picnic tables, fire rings with grills, and tent pads.

There is a $5 extra vehicle fee collected at the campground after the first car for single sites, and after the second car for double sites.
There is an additional $8.00 user fee for the launch ramp at Hirz Bay.
The nearest boat launch is Hirz Bay Boat Ramp, located 4 miles away on Gilman Road (before you get to the campground from I-5).

To Ellery Creek Campground: From Redding, California take I-5 to Gilman Road. From the north take Salt Creek exit to Gilman Road. Go east for 16 miles to the campground entrance (located on the right hand side of the road between Moore Creek and Pine Point Campgrounds).
