Camping Reservations

Description

Located on the North Fork of the Consumne River at an altitude of 5100 ft. The campground is only reservable as a group facility. When not reserved, sites are first come, first serve single family sites. As a group, the area is made up of sites 1-9. Sites 2, 3, 4, and 5 are tent sites. Sites 1, 6, and 7 are RV sites. Sites 8 and 9 have been converted into a group meeting area."

Alerts and Important Information

CAUTION: Bears and other wildlife frequent the area. All food must be kept in approved containers.
An RV or trailer plus a tow vehicle counts as 1 vehicle.
All equipment must fit on the site pad. Vehicles park in developed areas only.
Note: reserving the CAPP group site entitles the reservation holder to a number of campsites throughout the campground. Please call the park for more information.

15 miles East of Placerville on Highway 50 exit Sly Park Road. Travel 6 miles southeast on Sly Park Road to Jenkinson Reservoir. 10 miles northeast on Mormon Emigrant Trail. (Forest Road #4* also known as Iron Mtn. Road and Alternate Route 50) 7 miles southeast on North-South Road (Forest Road #6) to campground. (* Mormon Emigrant Trail is closed during winter season)
