Description
Buck Ridge Park is located at Hensley Lake in the foothills of Central California, 50 miles north of Fresno. The area which was once home to the Miwok and Yokut Native Americans, ranchers, and farmers, now offers many recreation opportunities for outdoor enjoyment. Located within walking distance to the lake, swim beach, picnic and boat launch, the park provides an ideal location for a day of family fun and relaxation. In addition to the above facilities, a trail is nearby for mountain biking and hiking. One picnic shelter is available for reservation.

Alerts and Important Information
Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance. The park is year round. The shelter will accommodate 50 people and 25 vehicles and is $25/day. For more information, please call (559) 673-5151. This area is a day use only, departure at night is required. Please contact the park headquarter at 559-673-5151 to receive a free day pass for your arrival date. Those vehicles without a day pass in plain view are in violation of failure to properly display permits.

From SR 99 south of Fresno: Take SR 41 north to SR 145. Take SR 145 west to Road 33. Take Road 33 north to Road 400. Take Road 400 to Buck Ridge Recreation Area. Go up the hill and make a left into the parking lot. From SR 99 south of Madera: Take SR 145, Yosemite Avenue exit. Follow signs to Yosemite Ave. and take a right. Continue northeast to Island Dr. and go left then a quick right on Road 400. Take Road 400 to the Buck Ridge Recreation Area. Go up the hill and make a left into the parking lot. From SR 99 north of Chowchilla: Take SR 233, Robertson Blvd. exit to Ave 26. At the stop sign go east on Ave. 26 to Road 29. Take Road 29 south to Road 603 and continue east on 603. At the stop sign at Road 602 go left At the stop sign at Road 600 cross and continue on 603 to Road 400 to Buck Ridge Recreation area. Go up the hill and make a left into the parking lot.
