Description

This USFS campground is located about 20 miles east of Springville, CA, in the Tule Ranger District of the Sequoia National Forest. Sites are among giant sequoias, the Tule River and Belknap Creek run through or near the campground. There are fishing and hiking opportunities nearby. The small community of Camp Nelson is one mile away (convenience store); Pierpoint Springs Resort is two miles away (store, restaurant). Approximate season dates are 4/15 to 11/15.

  • Giant Sequoia Mercantile Now Open In Springville, CA
    The Giant Sequoia Mercantile offers a wide variety of books, maps, gifts, local art, and other merchandise that will serve to make your trip to the Mounment more memorable.
    Beginning in mid-June 2009 - the Giant Sequoia Mercantile will also be offering a variety of campging equipment and supplies making it the perfect place to stop for those last minute items you may have left at home.

  • A second Giant Sequoia Mercantile is now open at 13247 Sierra Way in Kernville, CA - the southern gateway to the Giant Sequoia National Monument.

    Alerts and Important Information

  • No trailers permited (no turnaround space).
  • There is a 3 night minimum for holiday weekends.
  • Quiet hours are from 10pm to 6am.
  • Pets must be leashed at all times.
  • Camping fee includes entry for one vehicle, fees for additional vehicles will be collected from campground hosts.
  • All equipment must fit on the site pad.
  • No all-terrain or off-highway vehicle use in the campground.
  • No usage of chainsaws, firearms or fireworks allowed.

    From Springville, CA, proceed east on State highway 190 approximately 15 miles to Nelson Drive. Proceed east on Nelson Drive, approximately one mile, to Belknap Campground.
