Description
Cove Lake Recreation Area is located near Arkansas's newest state park, Mt. Magazine State Park, home of the highest point in the state with an elevation of 2,753 feet. Facilities in this campground include hot showers, flush toilets in bathhouse, and chemical toilets in the campground. Popular activities include swimming, fishing, hiking, water skiing (except on holidays and weekends), scenic drives, and the National Free Fishing Weekend after the first full week in June. Drinking water is available at this campground, and there is a concessionaire who rents paddleboats and fishing scamps, and has limited food service and camping supplies. There is 911 service for emergencies.
