Description

Located in the Ponderosa pine trees with a view of San Francisco Peaks. There is alot of wildlife activity in the area. BBQ grills and picnic tables are provided at each site. All manure must be cleaned from the site before departure. Do not use trash receptacles for manure disposal. Popular activities in the area include horseback riding, hiking and wildlife viewing. Toilets are barrier-free, but the campground is not. There is a maximum of 4 animals per site. Two hitching posts are provided per site. Extra parking is available.

This campground is designated ONLY for people with horses.

Tents are allowed on the site.

A fee of $9 for extra vehicles will be collected at the campground.

Off I-40 take Exit 201, turn left to Page exit which is Highway 89. Proceed north on Highway 89 for 6 miles to Forest Road 556 (also marked as the Elden Springs Road). Turn left, proceed to Horse Camp 1.5 miles.
