Description
Spring Valley Cabin was built in 1917. It served as the residence for "Rangers" who worked at the Guard Station. The "bunkhouse" was the original office. The cabin is still occasionally used as a field station for Forest Service employees. We encourage you to enjoy the peace and quiet spectacular views, wildlife viewing opportunities, nearby cross country ski trails and time "away from it all". Nearby Cities: Flagstaff, AZ approximately 20 miles east and the City of Williams, AZ is approximately 20 miles west from the rental cabin. Elevvation: 7320 ft. The weather in always changing in Northern Arizona, so we encourage you to be prepared for changeable mountain weather, cold nights, thunderstorms, and snow from fall through spring.

Alerts and Important Information
This facilty is made up of two buildings, the cabin and a bunkhouse. To reserve the bunkhouse, you must reserve the cabin for more than 8 people and you will be charged and have access to the bunkhouse also. The bunk house is not reservable on its own. The fees are $100 for up to 8 people in the cabin. $150 for 9 to 14 people inlcluding the bunk house. Reservations must be made three (3) days in advance. Minimum of two (2) nights on a weekend. Smoking and pets are NOT allowed inside the cabin or the bunkhouse. The Maximum group size for the cabin is eight (8), with the additional rental to the Bunkhouse the maximum group size is fourteen (14). During the winter months drive-in access may not be available, distance from the available parking to the cabin in periods of heavy snow is one mile, cross country ski access is available. Fires allowed only in wood stove, or designated outdoor grills, or fire pit. Horses (up to 4) are allowed only in the corral, not in the pasture or the cabin area. Feed (hay, alfalfa, frain, pellets, etc.) must be brought in and MUST BE certified " Weed Free". Discharging of firearms within 1/4 mile of the cabin, or any residence, is prohibited. A combination is required to open the lock on the door of the cabin. Please call the Williams Ranger District office at least three days prior to arrival to obtain the combination to the lock. The Williams Ranger District office is open from 8:00 a.m. MST - 4:30 p.m. MST Monday - Friday, you MUST call between these days/hours to obtain the combination. Please note that Arizona does NOT observe daylight savings time.

Take exit 178 off of Interstate-40 at Parks (about 14 miles east of Williams, AZ). Proceed 1/10 of a mile and turn left, follow this road (Old Route 66) 1/2 mile, turn right onto Spring Valley Road at the "Old Parks Store". Spring Valley road is County Road 141 the pavement ends just before you reach milepost 6. Continue on Forest Road (FR) 141 to the intersection of FR 76 just past milepost 8. Look for the Spring Valley Cabin sign. Turn left on FR 76, precede 3/4 mile and the cabin will be visible on your left.
