This Forest Service log cabin is on top of Towers Mountain in the Bradshaw Mountains near Crown King, AZ, in the Prescott National Forest. This area is rich in gold mining history. The cabin sits next to a historical fire observation tower still in use today.

• The cabin has running water, a flush toilet, shower and electricity.
• The kitchen has all the basic amenities including a sink, propane stove/oven, refrigerator, table and four chairs.
• You will need to supply your own dishes, utensils and cookware.
• Outside, there is a grill and picnic table. The cabin has propane heat.
• The maximum capacity for the cabin is four people.
• There are two beds in the cabin, one queen bed, and one double futon.
• No linens or bedding provided.

This cabin is about five miles from Horsethief Cabin and the Castle Creek Wilderness area. Hiking opportunities are numerous on several trails in the area. Off-highway vehicles have several roads and trails available for travel. The historic lookout tower and Crown King Saloon offer other areas of interest.

All smoking must be done within enclosed vehicles, buildings, or developed fee recreation sites where the area is cleared of all flammable material.

• Roads leading into this cabin are steep and narrow.
• High clearance vehicles are recommended.
• Pets are not permitted in the cabin.
• Fireworks are always prohibited on all national forest lands.
• Off-highway vehicles are also only allowed on designated roads and trails.

From Phoenix take I-17 north to exit #259, Bloody Basin Rd, and turn left at the stop sign onto Crown King Rd. Travel west 3.4 miles to a stop sign and turn left continuing down Crown King Rd 2.9 miles to a "Y", stay to the right. Continue 0.9 miles to another stop sign and turn right. Travel through the town of Cleator to Crown King, about 17.25 miles. Once in Crown King turn right towards the general store, over a one lane bridge, and make an immediate right over another one lane bridge. After the 2nd bridge stay left at the "Y" and you will be on Towers Mountain Rd. There are signs along Towers Mountain Rd indicating you are on the right road, but they are old wooden signs and are faded so keep on the lookout. The cabin is aprox. 6.4 miles after the 2nd one lane bridge in Crown King. The cabin sits atop a mountain peak beside various communication towers and Tower's Mountain Fire Lookout, which is marked on the Prescott National Forest map.
