Description
At an elevation of 2,800 feet, Cactus Ramada # 2 is located within the extremely popular Sabino Canyon Recreation Area at the edge of Tucson, Arizona. For many who come to visit the Southwest, this area provides their first close encounter with the Sonoran Desert and the fascinating variety of plants and animals that make it their home. Facilities at Cactus Ramada # 2 include one 4-hole vault restroom, one non-electric covered ramada, three (3) barrier-free picnic tables, one serving table, two benches, one bear-proof trash can and one large barbecue grill.

Alerts and Important Information
- Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance.
- The group site will only accommodate a party size of 25.
- Please bring your own charcoal; charcoal is not provided.
- Bicycles are not permitted in Sabino Canyon on Saturdays and Wednesdays. All other days, bicycles are permitted before 9:00 a.m. and after 5 p.m.
- Discharging of firearms in a Developed Recreation Site is prohibited.
- Pets are not permitted in Cactus Ramada # 2 or any portion of the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area.
- Build cook fires only using the barbecue provided for that purpose.
- YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR KEEPING YOUR COOKING FIRE UNDER CONTROL.
- Completely extinguish cook fires before leaving.
- For the safety and convenience of others, do not block, restrict, or interfere with the use of roads or trails.
- Remove all personal property and trash when leaving the area. Trashcans are provided for your convenience.
- Do not carve, chop, cut, or damage any tree, bush, or cacti.
- No fighting or boisterous behavior. Keep noise at a reasonable level.
- Be courteous to your fellow visitors.
- Operate audio devices so that it will not disturb other Forest visitors.
- DAY USE ONLY group site. Day use hours are between 7am and 9 pm.
- Please be aware of your surroundings. Even though this area is located within minutes of the city limits, there is wildlife in this area. Sabino Canyon is a Mountain Lion Habitat. Make sure all food is secure and trash is properly disposed in the designated trash cans.
- The Federal Government is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property.
- A $65.00/use fee is charged for day use of the facility. Day use includes the time period of 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
- All funds will be forfeited if contact is not made with the Ranger District prior to 12 hours before the reservation period.
- Money received will not be refunded. Another date may be requested for the same recreation operating season (same calendar year).
- One vehicle may park at the group site. Vehicle is used to bring in and out supplies.

Located Northeast of Tucson at the foot of the Santa Catalinas. The entrance is located on Sabino Canyon Road, just north of Sunrise Drive. Parking is in the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area and Visitor Center parking lot. Access to Cactus Ramada # 2 is through the use of the Sabino Canyon Tours or by foot travel 1/3 mile to the Cactus Picnic Area.
