Description

Camping Reservations
Located on Prince of Wales Island in old growth temperate rain forest surrounded by a muskeg and a lake (Balls Lake).
Restrooms are provided.
There is a handpump for water.
Canoe ramp is available.
Back-ins are narrow and perpendicular to campground road. Backing large RVs could be difficult.
There are no hook-ups.
Roads may be under construction.

Getting There:

TONGASS-KETCHIKAN
AK

From Ketchikan, take the Alaska Marine Ferry to Hollis on Prince of Wales Island.
From Hollis, take State Hwy 924 to Klawock.
From Klawock, State Hwy 929 to control lake junction 18 miles and turn right.
Continue on State Hwy 929 for 2 miles.
Campground is on the left.
