Camping Reservations
This is the Devil's Pass Cabin located on the Resurrection Pass Trail, NOT the Devil's Elbow Cabin near Kake, Alaska. Winter travelers need to be able to evaluate avalanche and over-ice travel conditions.
Open to over-snow motorized vehicles from December 1 to April 30 every other winter season beginning with the winter of 2007/2008. Closed to motorized vehicles every other winter season beginning with the 2008/2009 winter season.
Closed to horse/pack stock from 04/01 to 06/30.
Three consecutive days maximum per person from 05/15 to 08/31. No commercial use. The person holding the reservation must be 18. Maximum group size allowed is 8. Treat or boil water before consumption. Cabin is equipped with wooden bunks, table, benches, an oilstove for heat, and an outside toilet. It sleeps 4 comfortably. It has no mattresses or cooking utensils. Cabin users should bring sleeping bags and pads, cookstove, cooking gear, and food. Bring #1 stove oil to heat the cabin. Occasionally poor weather can cause extended stays, and cabin users should be prepared. Cabin is at intersection of Devil's Creek Trail and Resurrection Pass Trail in the Kenai Mountains. There is limited privacy. The cabin is 10 miles from Devil's Pass trailhead and 17.2 miles from the south trailhead of Resurrection Pass Trail. Refer to USGS map Seward C8.
