Camping Reservations

Description

Winter travelers need to be able to evaluate avalanche and over-ice travel conditions.
Open to over-snow motorized vehicles from December 1 to April 30 every other winter season beginning with the winter of 2007/2008. Closed to motorized vehicles every other winter season beginning with the 2008/2009 winter season.
Closed to horse/pack stock from 4/1 to 6/30.

Three consecutive days maximum per person from 5/15 through 8/31. No commercial use. The person holding the reservation must be 18. Maximum group size allowed is 8. Treat or boil water before consumption. Cabin is equipped with wooden bunks, table, benches, a woodstove for heat (wood not furnished), and an outhouse. It sleeps 4 comfortably, and a maximum group size of 8. It has no mattresses or cooking utensils. Cabin users should bring sleeping bags and pads, cookstove, cooking gear, and food. Access trail by Resurrection Pass North Trailhead, at milepost 4 of Resurrection Creek Road. Hike 7 miles to the cabin. In winter, add one extra mile of travel as Resurrection Creek Road is not plowed to the trailhead. Access trail by Resurrection Pass South Trailhead, at milepost 53.2 of Sterling Highway. Hike 31.8 miles to the cabin. Refer to USGS topographic map Seward D8.
