Description
Cabin is equipped with wooden bunks, table, benches, an oil stove for heat & an outhouse. The oil stove uses #1 diesel or kerosene only. Plan on using 5 gallons of fuel per week. It does not have mattresses or cooking utensils. Cabin users should bring their own sleeping bags, pads, cook stoves, cooking gear and food. Occasionally poor weather can result in extended stays, and cabin users should be prepared for this. The person holding the reservation for this cabin must be at least 18 years of age, and must be a member of the party using the cabin. There are NO discounts for Golden Age/Access Passports for Alaska cabin rentals. Proximity: Closest cabin to Bailey Bay where there is access to Lake Shelokum. Access to beach varies greatly with tides. Buoy is fair distance from cabin. A fresh water lake with trout is located about 1/2 miles upstream from cabin. No trail to lake. Activities: Wildlife viewing, fishing for salmon, halibut, red snapper. Description: Cabin located at sea level, forested, very long beach at low tide. Stream right next to cabin. 12'X14' Pan-Abode cabin, two single/ two double bunks, woodstove, outhouse, mooring buoy. Reservations are restricted to a maximum stay of 7 consecutive nights per party for any one reservation May 1 - September 30 and a maximum stay of 10 consecutive nights per party October 1 - April 30. Access by floatplane or boat.
