Driving Directions
Peacock Springs is located 17 miles SW of Live Oak on SR 51, two miles east of Luraville on 180 ST.

Hours of Operation
Florida state parks are open from 8 a.m. until sundown 365 days a year.

Park Activities

Picnicking, Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, and Swimming

Picnicking
Picnic facilities are available in two areas of the park. The Orange Grove Sink offers picnic tables, grills and a two-table pavilion. Peacock Springs offers picnic tables and grills. All picnic areas are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

 

Scuba Diving
All divers must show proof of certification before diving. Open water diving is permitted only in Orange Grove Sink during diving classes when accompanied by a diving instructor. Cavern and cave diving is available to certified dive teams in Orange Grove Sink and Peacock Springs. Divers do so at their own risk. No solo diving is permitted.

Swimming
Swimming is limited to Orange Grove and Peacock Springs and is dependent upon seasonal water levels. Swimmers do so at their own risk. There are no lifeguards.

Nature Trails

Imagine tracing Peacock Springs’ serpentine caves and caverns. Winding its way from spring to sink, photographs and maps showcase what lies just below your feet. You are given a glimpse of an underwater world few venture to see; millennia-old geologic features, cave dwelling creatures or a cave diver gliding silently below.
