Madison Blue offers swimming and picnicking. Canoe and kayak rental, with shuttle service, is available by our Visitor Service Provider American Canoe Adventures.
Around 82 feet at its widest and near 25 feet deep, this crystal-clear first magnitude spring is a popular spot for both swimmers and divers. Madison Blue Spring is carved in a limestone basin along the west bank of the Withlacoochee River, and is surrounded by mixed hardwoods and pines.
Madison Blue Spring is now open for cavern diving. No open water diving is permitted at this time. Please call ahead for water conditions (850-971-4424).

Open 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., 7 days a week.
Driving Directions
Madison Blue Spring is approximately 10 miles (16 km)
east of Madison on the west bank of the Withlacoochee
River. From Madison, drive east on SR 6 to the Withlacoochee
River. Turn south on the west side of the bridge at
the park sign. Spring is 525 ft (160 m) south of the
highway.
