Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Historic State Park is located between Ocala and Gainesville in Cross Creek, at 18700 S. CR 325.

Hours of Operation
Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Historic State Park is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day.

 

Park Activities

Guided Tours and Nature Trails

Guided Tours
A 45-minute guided walk takes you through the farmyard and into the historic Rawlings farmhouse. Topics include Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings life and work in Cross Creek and the history of her Cross Creek home.

Guided walks are offered October through July on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 10 am., 11 a.m., and on the hour 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. No tours are offered Thanksgiving or Christmas days.

Nature Trails
The park has two loop walking trails through the Florida woods and a recreated farmyard to wander including historic structures, garden, ornamentals and citrus grove. A self-guided walking tour brochure is available for the farmyard and around the structures.
