Driving Directions
Parking is provided at the Mabel Trailhead off
SR 50; Bay Lake Trailhead south side of CR 565;
Green Pond Trailhead off of SR 33 & Green
Pond Rd.; and Polk City Trailhead off SR 33 &
CR 665.
Hours of Operation
Florida state parks are open from 8 a.m. until
sundown 365 days a year.
The Van Fleet Trail is a safe and pleasant place
for bicyclists, hikers, joggers, and horseback
riders to enjoy. The 29 mile trail through the
Green Swamp was once a railroad track that has
been converted for recreational use. The trail
extends from Polk City through Bay Lake to Mabel.
The trail is open from sunrise to sunset daily.
