RV SITES and TENT SITES
Fort Summit is blessed with high, dry land that does not accumulate standing water, even after the heaviest rains. Enjoy summer breezes from these high, dry sites. There are many mature oaks and palm trees on the property, as well.
Every RV site has 30 and 50 amp electric, county water and sewer service, and cable T.V. hookup. Each RV site has a patio and picnic table, and fire rings are available for cooking and marshmallow roasts. Most sites have grassed driveway areas to avoid a high percentage of impervious surfaces that generally are considered undesirable for Florida water conservation goals.
There are plenty of pull-through sites and back-ins as well. All sites are entered at an angle giving sites privacy and streets are wide-paved for easy access. Most sites are level. There are three well-equipped bathhouses and laundromats strategically placed throughout the property, so that no one has to go very far to wash clothes or use the bathhouse.
Tent sites all have water and electric available to them and a large bathhouse and laundry are located within the tent area. There is also an enclosed Kamper Kitchen in the tent area.
The campground has maintained high (9-9-8) ratings with Trailer Life.
CABINS
Fort Summit has the traditional KOA Kamping Kabin as well as another group of cabins, which are similar to "Kamping Kabins". All cabins are one room with two bunk beds and a full size bed. All cabins have a/c. You must bring all your own linens. Cabins have a front porch, picnic table, barbecue or fire ring. Bathroom facilities are located within the large bath house adjacent. There is cable T.V. and television within some units.
Activities:
Located just minutes from Walt Disney World and Sea World, Fort Summit is situated between the east and west coasts of Florida. Thus, allowing it's visitors the opportunity to visit Florida's many sites and attractions. However, if you choose not to visit any of the sites or attractions there are plenty of activities at Fort Summit to keep you busy.
